So, here I sit on a Sunday evening, watching Columbus’s Fox affiliate attempt to forecast an incoming storm. Now, these guys are as accurate as a blind sniper with a bent rifle barrel, so they have that goin’ for them, which is nice. Then, they try to go live to their latest invention, the mobile weather tracker.
Think about it. We are supposed to get a crapload of snow (the official unit of measure this winter), along with winds of 25mph plus. So what do our brilliant Fox and Friends send out? A rear-wheel drive, slab-sided, tipsy van. Out onto roads that they are expecting to receive Advisory Level 2 (“unless it’s a true emergency, get your sorry butt off the dang road” per the county sheriff). Turning on filming lights INSIDE the van to film the reporter in the shotgun seat, while some poor slob tries to drive a full-size van. Yeah…….
I’m gonna try to get back into things this week (yeah, yeah, I know, same ol’ story), so I hope to see y’all real soon – weather permitting, of course! 😀
